Prairie Vista NAVHDA Training Day

Potluck Lunch



​Bring: 
  • Chair for you – don’t forget to wear orange!
  • Crate or tie out for your Dog
  • Shot gun (break action only) if you want to be a vetted gunner, and ammo (light loads – 6 to 8)
  • Water for dogs and beverage for you
  • Whatever equipment you currently use 
  • We will have NA Training including, field, track and water work!
  • UT & UPT Training will include Field and Water work.
  • We will also have Stations for Heeling, whoa post (for those interested)
  • We can work field in braces so please be sure to bring whatever means you require to control your dog when you are the backing dog – e-collar or check cord or both
  • We train rain or shine!  Dress for the weather!
NA Dogs
  • order NA Field (gets minimum 6 exposures to birds on tethers or in launchers)
  • Track (minimum 1 track of dead bird – If you purchase a pheasant it will be track of your live pheasant, otherwise we use dead chukar generally
  • Water work – N/C
UPT / UT Dogs
  • Order birds for field in sets of 3 combo or your choice
  • Water work – order duck(s) for search, mark, (could be same duck?)  And drag - Or bring dead duck for your use.  We do duck search first.
