Treatments for your dogs available after the demo at a reduced price for Club members of $35 per dog (regular price is $50). Get your year started off right, work on Obedience, Steadiness, Trained Retrieve or another skill you might want to work on. ![]() Prairie Vista NAVHDA Presents: 2019 NAVHDA Handlers Clinic - JUNE 22 & 23, 2019 The Handlers Clinic is an educational tool developed by NAVHDA to help dog owners and handlers understand the testing system. The clinics are conducted by designated trained leaders; all of whom are NAVHDA Senior Judges. During the two day clinic weekend, participants experience all aspects of a Natural Ability, Utility Preparatory, and Utility Test. The first few hours of each day is devoted to informal classroom instruction. There is discussion of Test mechanics, the scoring system and NAVHDA philosophy. Why: NAVHDA developed this Clinic to familiarize participants with the NAVHDA system and philosophy of judging versatile hunting dogs. How: Learning how to use judge work cards and scoring for Natural Ability, Utility Preparatory and Utility dogs. Who: Anyone interested in learning about versatile hunting dogs, how to handle them and characteristics to look for in breeding stock and progeny. Also anyone considering the Judge Development Program What you need to bring: - Prepare by reading the NAVHDA Aims, Programs and Rests rule book - Bring all-weather gear, also you must be wearing an article of blaze orange clothing when we are in the field. We will be in the field so ensure you have appropriate foot wear. - Bring beverages for yourself.
